Another win for the 1XV brings plenty to celebrate (and learn...)

There is something satisfying about a team finding ways to win, especially when every game asks a little more of them. At Weedon Lane, the 1XV had another result to celebrate, beating the Honourable Artillery Company 47–35 team in a match that kept their winning streak rolling.

But the scoreboard only tells part of the story. As the opposition gets tougher, judging improvement becomes less straightforward. Different opponents bring different challenges, and changing team combinations make direct comparisons difficult. What matters is how the players respond when the pressure rises: the decisions they make, the mistakes they learn from, and the effort they keep putting in for one another. These are the details worth watching beyond the final whistle. Every match offers another chance to sharpen the way they play, build trust and turn individual contributions into something bigger. The wins are welcome, but the growth behind them matters just as much.

For now, the streak continues, and there is plenty to build on. If the team keeps learning, communicating and backing one another, these harder games could become the foundation of an even stronger bond.
